Comments: Hi, my grandmother came to South Africa from Bogacs (I think), Hungary during the revolution. Her biological father was Bakondi Janos who nobody knows anything about as he was married to another woman when she was conceived (very naughty:)). So since Ive been so curious about my familys history and nobody can tell me about my great-grandfather, Im so glad Ive found this sight as it gives me some incling into his and my general, if even distant, family history. So thanx for a great site!

Comments: I live in Canada and my father left Hungary in 1956 at the time of the Hungarian Revolution. My father is Jozsef Bakondi. He was born in Felsotarkany to Bakondi Jozsef (b. 1895) and Bajzat Ilona (b. 1897). Both of my grandparents are now deceased. My grandfather's father was Bakondi Andras and my grandfather only had one sibling by the name of Bakondi Marta or Martha. My great aunt had at least one daughter whose name was Bakondi Piros. Anyway, somewhere down the line I'm sure we're related. Contact me and we can chat more.
